Les Touches Viol Consort 2026-2027 performance season: in addition to our formal concerts listed below, hear us at Sunday services at St. Paul’s Methodist Church on Feb. 28, 2027.

Violas da gamba playing a church service – the way God intended! True story – before pipe organs, violas da gamba played liturgical music along with the singers.

Les Touches will be opening for the Houston Professional Musician’s Association’s 1st Annual Festival de Herencia Hispana! Our segment will feature selections from our Semejanzas i Diferencias program, celebrating the extensive contributions of early music and contemporary song across Latin America. We will be joined once again by percussionist Jesús Pacheco as well!

Les Touches will host a Christmas concert this season featuring Elizabethan-era compositions, including consort songs, with vocalist Renee Rybolt of the Bach Society of Houston!

Les Touches will be joined by gambist Joshua Keller to present a concert of 5-part music to celebrate this musical motif that lays the foundation for early music forms such as divisions!

Our Semejanzas program will return to round out our season, once again with percussionist and frequent collaborator Jesús Pacheco! This year, our program filled with music from Spain and Latin America will be dedicated to the memory of Kendra Preston Leonard, a decorated musicologist and writer based in Houston who also contributed to our redebut in 2024 as both performer and webmaster.
